The theatrical production of Daisy Ashford's novella, was performed in open-houses and other public venues around Lewes including a performance at Pelham House as part of Lewes Live Literature. Revived by popular demand, for six performances in December 2004, it is now planned to tour in the UK this Autumn (2005).

The Paddock arts organization involved professional actors and musicians, as well as the work of the director Jonathan Cullen and designer Num Stibbe from the Lewes community. The show has been designed specifically as a ‘salon’ production to be performed open-house style in peoples' houses all across Lewes. This was an exciting opportunity for professional artists living in Lewes to share their special talents and abilities within their own community, and a great chance for members of the Lewes community to offer a cultural event to their friends and neighbours, in their own homes.
